The purpose of this program is to place a dog in a loving, permanent home while Diva Dogs retains breeding rights for a limited time.

The Guardian agrees to:

• Provide a safe, loving, indoor home as a family pet (no outdoor or kennel living) 
• Provide proper daily care including food, exercise, training, grooming, and socialization 
• Maintain the dog’s health, weight and coat care 
• Cover all routine and non-breeding veterinary expenses 
• Notify Diva Dogs immediately of illness, injury, behavioral concerns, or first sign of heat (females) 
• Ensure the dog is not rehomed, transferred, or left in another’s care without approval 
• Pay a non-refundable $500 Guardian Fee (Varies depending on dog)
• Arrange and cover transportation to/from Diva Dogs when required 

Diva Dogs will:

• Ensure the dog is healthy and up to date on vaccinations at placement 
• Cover all breeding-related expenses, including breeding, pregnancy, whelping, and postpartum care 
• Make all breeding and medical decisions related to reproduction 

Females:

• Must return to Diva Dogs during heat cycles 
• Stay for breeding, delivery, and approximately 8–10 weeks to raise puppies 
• Maximum of 5 litters 

Males:

• Must be available for breeding with notice 
• May stay with Diva Dogs temporarily for breeding 
• No unauthorized breeding allowed 

• Diva Dogs retains breeding rights until the dog is retired 
• Females retire by 5 years old; males by 7 years old (or earlier if determined) 
• After retirement and spay/neuter, full ownership transfers to the Guardian 

• Dog must live indoors and be safely contained 
• Guardian must inform Diva Dogs of any address changes 
• If unable to keep the dog, it must be returned to Diva Dogs (no rehoming) 
• Guardian assumes liability for the dog while in their care 
• Diva Dogs may request updates or visits 

• Diva Dogs may reclaim the dog if terms are not met 
• Guardian fee is non-refundable 
• No unauthorized breeding permitted 
• All terms must be agreed to in writing 

By participating, both parties agree to work together to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the dog.
